Can I live in Bush's world?

My apologies for the large time lapse between posts. I've been busy with holidays and other projects. Anyway, I just happened to come across an article I'd missed and wanted to share some highlights:

The CIA, the Defense Intelligence Agency and the State Department have warned President Bush that the United States and its Iraqi allies are not winning the battle against Iraqi insurgents who are trying to derail the country's Jan. 30 elections, according to administration officials. ... The warnings -- including one delivered this week to Bush by CIA Director Porter Goss -- indicated that U.S. forces had not been able to stop the insurgents' intimidation of Iraqi voters, candidates and others who want to participate in the elections.

Bush, speaking at Camp Pendleton, held Iraq up as a model: "The success of democracy in Iraq will also inspire others across the Middle East to defend their own freedom."

It must be pure bliss to shroud oneself in a cloud of ignorance! Only a child of total opulence could truly insulate himself to this degree.

Unfortunately, it’s getting to the point where Dennis Kucinich is becoming a soothsayer. I say unfortunately not because I don’t respect the man, but because I was hoping he’d be wrong when he said the country would be better off on its own than with U.S. forces guiding it. Which reminds me, I just read Kucinich is leaving Congress for a more lucrative business: fortune-telling.
